Free U.S. Census tribal data at your finger tips…

May 19, 2017

Last month the US Census Bureau launched the My Tribal Area data tool that allows easy access to select demographic and economic statistics for each of the nation’s tribal areas. These data come from the 2011-2015 American Community Survey, and include statistics on population, jobs, housing, economy, and education.

The Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development is proud to partner with My Tribal Area to bring the new data tool to all 130 Honoring Nations Awardee profiles through the Honoring Nations Google Map. My Tribal Area data tool will allow users to explore and select demographic data profiles with downloadable features for each Honoring Nations Awardee’s tribal area. Users can also share a link to the application on social media or generate an embed code to include the tool on their own website.
