To provide a unified effort to promote change in Indian Agriculture for the benefit of Indian People.

The Intertribal Agriculture Council conducts a wide range of programs designed to further the goal of improving Indian Agriculture. The IAC promotes the Indian use of Indian resources and contracts with federal agencies to maximize resources for tribal members.

Education

IAC Scholarship Program
The Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) in its continuing efforts to insure Indian use of Indian resources, recognize the critical importance of advancing education among our people. To this end, IAC will award one $1,000.00 Scholarship per semester to one successful applicant from each of the 12 areas of Indian Country represented by an IAC Board Member. Native American Political Leadership Program (NAPLP)
Applications are due February 1, 2018. 
NAPLP is a full scholarship program for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian undergraduate and graduate students to study applied American politics at the George Washington University in Washington DC.  As part of the Semester in Washington Politics program, NAPLP is funded by a generous gift from AT&T.  The scholarship covers up to nine credits in tuition, on-campus housing, round-trip air travel, and a stipend for books and living expenses ($2,400 in two installments).  Students also have the opportunity to have an internship in places such as a congressional office, national tribal organization or a federal agency and to develop lasting connections with a cohort of Native American students from across the country. IAC supports Native Youth with Equity Grants
FSA youth loan applicants who work through their Regional TA representative (AK applicants may pick any Regional TA Specialist) and are approved for a loan by the FSA, are eligible for a $500 equity grant from the IAC toward your operation.  This type of opportunity has never been offered before, so we hope you take us up on it. If your loan still needs work, get in touch with us and our staff will come assist. If you’ve already submitted your loan application, make sure you let our Regional staff know, so we can nominate you for the equity grant.
